When do I begin repaying the Graduate PLUS Loan?

When do I begin repaying the Graduate PLUS Loan?

Generally, the first payment is due 30-60 days after the loan is fully disbursed. However, your loan can be put into a deferment status while you are still attending school. Therefore, you will not have to make payments until you graduate, leave school, or drop to less than half-time status at your school. There is no grace period for these loans. Interest begins to accrue at the time the first disbursement is made. Repayment terms range from 10-25 years depending on the amount owed and the type of repayment plan selected.
